Roosevelt Rider Slow Pitch Softball looks to continue their success under Coach J and Coach Angelyn’s direction. 2024-25 season marks the fourth year for Slow Pitch at RHS. Lady Riders advanced to the State Tournament in Fall 2023 for the first time in the program’s history. The team will look to continue their quest to win the Metro League title while strengthening their on-field presence led by this year’s captains. Coach J (Julianna Duso) has been playing softball since she was 5 with experience as both a fastpitch and slowpitch player. Coach J currently coaches fastpitch for Northeast Seattle Little League and Seattle Pilots as well as slowpitch for the Rain(bow) City Softball League where she is also a player. She also has experience coaching for Seattle Central Little league. When she isn't coaching or playing softball, Coach J also moonlights as a USA Softball umpire. Coach J's passion for softball comes from her belief that youth team sports play a large role in building community and instilling life skills such as resilience, confidence, being a good teammate, and winning with grace. Coach J's goal for the slowpitch program is that each player has a chance to grow their softball and life skills and of course....HAVE FUN!
