Golf is a varsity level sport that plays their season in the Fall. The state championships occur at the end of the spring season. Being a competitive cut sport at Roosevelt, tryouts are typically two weeks before the start of school. They consist of 2+ rounds of 9 holes at Jackson Park golf course. Being able to break 50 for boys and 55 for girls will put you in a good place to make the team.
Once the season starts there will be golf 4 days of the week. This will be a mix of practices, matches against other schools, and team tournaments. We play all of the majors in our own special way. Sign up for tryouts by filling out the appropriate paperwork through the school website and “Final Forms”

Championship Level Golf at Roosevelt
Since 2014 the golf team has been very successful. The boys won the Metro championship in 2014-15 and 2015-16. The girls won the Metro championship in 2020-21, and 2022-23. In the 2015-16 season, the boys also claimed the district championship, and state championship in Spokane. There are alumni golfers from our program currently playing in college in levels D1-3.

Buy Your Tickets Now for Roosevelt High School Mariners Night!
On Friday, April 26 at 6:40pm (Mariners v. Arizona Diamondbacks) we have partnered with the Mariners and have 100 tickets reserved for Roosevelt High School. The seats are fantastic and are located on the 100 level / Section 143. The price of the tickets is $36 each. These seats typically go for $50 face value! Tickets will only be available for purchase until April 15th so act fast to secure your tickets. Come and bring your family and friends. Can't get a hold of your doctor and you need a sports physical? The Teen Health Center (room 225) offers sports physicals to all SPS students free of charge!
