HOW DO I SIGN UP? 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! In order to attend practices (first practice is in mid-November), you must have all your “Final Forms” paperwork completed and a valid physical on file. Access paperwork here:  https://roosevelths.seattleschools.org/student-life/athletics/athletic-registration/

Swimmers will need to provide their own swim suit, goggles, towels for practice. Swim caps will be available as soon as they arrive for the season.  Team suits are available for purchase at the beginning of the season.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We need your help!  There are many volunteer opportunities available - especially at home swim meets! Most jobs require little or NO prior training. Stay tuned for the Sign Up email!

Recent Swim and Dive (Boys)​ News

On Friday, April 26 at 6:40pm (Mariners v. Arizona Diamondbacks) we have partnered with the Mariners and have 100 tickets reserved for Roosevelt High School. The seats are fantastic and are located on the 100 level / Section 143.  The price of the tickets is $36 each. These seats typically go for $50 face value! Tickets will only be available for purchase until April 15th so act fast to secure your tickets. Come and bring your family and friends. This is a great opportunity to support the Roosevelt Booster Club and watch a baseball game as a group. Use this link to purchase tickets: MARINER NIGHT

TICKETS ARE $45/person - that gets you a Roosevelt pint glass, two beers (or nonalcoholic options), and the pleasure of knowing you are an awesome fan of RHS Athletics.
Can’t make it- or this not your thing- no problem! YOU can STILL SUPPORT Roosevelt Athletics by buying a ticket (or donating more)! Just let us know that you can’t make it and we will DELIVER your pint glass to your door!!

HOW TO BUY YOUR TICKET

Then do the following:
1. Select “General Booster Fund” from the Sport menu
2. Write “Pint Night” in the Notes menu
3. Put $45.00 in the Donation menu for 1 ticket, or $90.00 for 2 tickets, or...
4. Finish with the payment and billing info
5. We will have your name on the list when you arrive at the door!

Get a Free Sports Physical Starting Sept. 5th

Can't get a hold of your doctor and you need a sports physical? The Teen Health Center (room 225) offers sports physicals to all SPS students free of charge!

You can also contact the RHS Teen Health Center by emailing Suna.oh@neighborcare.org or text 206-653-9786 to schedule. 

Appointments start on Sept. 5th, 2023. 

MEET COACH BRENDA

Head Coach Brenda previously lead both the Roosevelt girls and boys swim teams from 2013-2019. She returned to coach the Boys team in 2021-22 and the Girls in 2022-23 swim seasons. She has coached at a variety of levels, high school; club; masters; and recreational teams in Washington, Nevada and Florida for 25 years, leading teams to HS State Championship Titles as well as team rankings in the top eight at State meets.

She grew up in Seattle, beginning competitively swimming at 6-years-old, was a 4-year letter recipient at Roosevelt and a club swimmer. She continued swimming and competing at the master’s swim team level and is excited to return to coaching the Roosevelt Girls team and sharing her love for the sport. Coach Brenda is also a Special Education Teacher at Roosevelt, Studio Manager at Barre3 Seattle, and a mother of 3.

"I am excited about the season and am looking forward to getting to know each of you and being a part of your high school swimming experience. I anticipate a motivating season full of energy, hard work and fun!!! My goal is to provide you all with the opportunities to push yourselves and to develop as swimmers, student-athletes and as well-rounded individuals. What you put into this season is what you will get out of it!! This is your time to give each practice and race your best and learn from every opportunity that comes your way. Let’s have a great season!!!"
