VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
The Roosevelt Girls and Boys Swim & Dive teams raise funds so we're able to purchase a cap (silicone this year!) and t-shirt for each swimmer for the season, recognition awards and Varsity letters for those who earned them, AND to provide the team with equipment (timing system, computer, etc), training gear, and other items they need. In the past we've relied solely on cash donations from parents to pay for these items as the District no longer provides funding to support these items. Last year we started participating in volunteer events where our group is paid by the event organizer to raise funds. Our ultimate goal is not having to ask our families for donations at all. With ultimate participation we can do it!
For the 2025-2026 Season, we have three upcoming "working fundraisers" planned. PLEASE - Mark your calendars AND be on the lookout for sign ups:
Head Coach Brenda previously lead both the Roosevelt girls and boys swim teams from 2013-2019. She returned to coach the Boys team in 2021-22 and the Girls in 2022-23 swim seasons. She has coached at a variety of levels, high school; club; masters; and recreational teams in Washington, Nevada and Florida for 25 years, leading teams to HS State Championship Titles as well as team rankings in the top eight at State meets.
She grew up in Seattle, beginning competitively swimming at 6-years-old, was a 4-year letter recipient at Roosevelt and a club swimmer. She continued swimming and competing at the master’s swim team level and is excited to return to coaching the Roosevelt Girls team and sharing her love for the sport. Coach Brenda is also a Special Education Teacher at Roosevelt, Studio Manager at Barre3 Seattle, and a mother of 3.
"I am excited about the season and am looking forward to getting to know each of you and being a part of your high school swimming experience. I anticipate a motivating season full of energy, hard work and fun!!! My goal is to provide you all with the opportunities to push yourselves and to develop as swimmers, student-athletes and as well-rounded individuals. What you put into this season is what you will get out of it!! This is your time to give each practice and race your best and learn from every opportunity that comes your way. Let’s have a great season!!!"
Roosevelt boasts a very competitive girls swim team.
This year we placed:
Each of the Fall teams now have their own boosters storefront open for a limited time: The order deadline is Wednesday, September 10 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). This is a tight turnaround so we can get the orders distributed prior to the holiday break. Click HERE to access the SWIM & DIVE BOOSTERS TEAM STORE!
Fan gear is offered for families and fans as a fundraiser for the Roosevelt Athletic Boosters Club (RAB) General Fund to raise money to support sports at Roosevelt. Nearly half of Roosevelt students participate in athletics.
RAB helps fund items that stay with the school or benefit an entire team/sport. Our largest annual financial obligation is to help fund an on-site athletic trainer and training supplies. RAB also helps teams pay for uniforms/gear, athletic letters, balls, nets, tents, post-season competition (ie: Play-Offs, District and State Tournaments), pool and facility rentals, cage time, sports software, training and camps, and school-wide sports recognition banquets and awards night events.
The Booster Club relies on contributions and fundraising to operate. [NOTE: We also offer a General "R" Storefront that is great if you have kids participating in multiple sports OR just want to support ALL of Roosevelt! Click HERE to enter the General Store.]
Items purchased from either storefront, will arrive around 9/24/25 and will be distributed by your team representative.
Thank you for your support!
