Roosevelt Dance Team

RHS Dance Team has a Hip Hop focus and our goal is always to be one of the top dance teams in the Seattle Metro League and State of Washington. The Dance Team competes in the 3A Hip Hop division of WIAA Dance & Drill Activities. We also perform at all RHS assemblies with the goal of entertaining the student body and showcasing our best hip hop dances. Assembly dances are choreographed by dancers on the team and relate to the theme of the assembly.

Tryouts are held every Spring, usually in late April or early May for 3 days. All are welcome to try-out! Our competition season is November - March, but this year round sport starts in early August and runs through June. Practices are held at RHS mostly after school, are generally 3-4 times per week with more practices during competition season and less during practice season.

Keep an eye on our website and social media (IG: @roosevelt_danceteam) for try-out forms and clinic dates. There is no previous sign-up necessary— just show up on the first day of tryouts with your forms prepared!

Dance Team Store is Now Open!

Each of the Fall teams now have their own storefront open for a limited time: The order deadline is 9/15/2022. Click HERE to access the DANCE STORE!

Fan gear is offered for families and fans as a fundraiser for the Roosevelt Athletic Boosters Club (RAB) General Fund. The General Fund gives grants to teams who need help paying for uniforms, equipment, training, field rental, coaches, and more.

The General Fund also helps pays for Roosevelt’s on-site Athletic Trainer and her supplies. Last year alone, the RAB contributed almost $11,000 toward the Athletic Trainer program and gave out nearly $17,000 in team grants including helping the Dance Team pay for choreography!

Please consider making a purchase and supporting your athletes today! Please note: items are final sale and gear will be sent 10-14 days after the store closes. The RAB will organize distribution.
