Ultimate Frisbee is a Club Sport at Roosevelt High School which provides competitive and casual opportunities for boys to play Ultimate. It is a volunteer led program run by Full-Time working parents. Coaches are hired from a regular pool of local, professional, adult players/coaches (see our WEBSITE for details). Fall is our competitive season when our Varsity and JV teams compete in the Boys Seattle Public School (SPS) High School Ultimate league run by Disc Northwest (https://www.discnw.org) who organizes the league, run playoffs and tournaments.
Spring is our casual season.
Tryouts are held in late summer / very early fall around the start of school for the Fall season where we field both Varsity & JV teams. We try to accommodate as many players as possible, but team spots are limited. Cuts at tryouts are more common than not, based on numbers trying out.
Our season runs early September thru early November, including playoffs.
Practices are typically 2-3 days/week in afternoons or evenings at a local park or playfield (generally not at RHS due to lack of field availability and priority given to WIAA sports.)

Each of the Fall teams now have their own boosters storefront open for a limited time: The order deadline is Wednesday, September 10 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). This is a tight turnaround so we can get the orders distributed prior to the holiday break. Click HERE to access the ULTIMATE FRISBEE BOOSTERS TEAM STORE!
Fan gear is offered for families and fans as a fundraiser for the Roosevelt Athletic Boosters Club (RAB) General Fund to raise money to support sports at Roosevelt. Nearly half of Roosevelt students participate in athletics.
RAB helps fund items that stay with the school or benefit an entire team/sport. Our largest annual financial obligation is to help fund an on-site athletic trainer and training supplies. RAB also helps teams pay for uniforms/gear, athletic letters, balls, nets, tents, post-season competition (ie: Play-Offs, District and State Tournaments), pool and facility rentals, cage time, sports software, training and camps, and school-wide sports recognition banquets and awards night events.
The Booster Club relies on contributions and fundraising to operate. [NOTE: We also offer a General "R" Storefront that is great if you have kids participating in multiple sports OR just want to support ALL of Roosevelt! Click HERE to enter the General Store.]
Items purchased from either storefront, will arrive around 9/24/25 and will be distributed by your team representative.
Thank you for your support!
