2021-2022 Roosevelt Girls Swim Team

REGISTRATION INFO-
Roosevelt athletic paperwork can be completed digitally.  To register your student athlete and complete the athletic paperwork for the upcoming season, please follow the instructions on the RHS athletic website: https://roosevelths.seattleschools.org/student-life/athletics/athletic-registration/

Season Information (subject to change for the 2022-2023 season):

  • Swim practice starts 1-2 weeks before the 1st day of school (usually mid/late August)
  • Time trials are typically held during the August training sessions
  • Practices (2021 Season) take place at Queen Anne Pool after school
  • Dual Meets are held on Friday afternoons
  • Metro Meet-  Snohomish Aquatic Center late October
  • District Meet- Early November
  • State Meet-  King County Aquatic Center – Mid November

2021 State Swimmers

Roosevelt boosts a very competitive girls swim team.  This year we placed:

 

  • 4th at Metros
  • 10th at Disticts
  • 13th at State

MEET HEAD COACH REVA ZACHARIAS

Reva has been at Roosevelt since 2019.  She started swimming when she was five years old and realizing her passion for at a young age began club swimming for White Water Aquatics.  She continued with club swimming through her teen years qualifying for several international meets and setting many team records for Gregory Seahurst and White Water Aquatics.  Reva also swam for Highline High School and qualified for State placing top 8 in each event she swam.  Reva loves to share her passion and knowledge for swimming with others.  As a coach she hopes to create fun and meaningful experience for her teams and to pass on what swim is all about- hard work, dedication and building life long friendships.   She also is head coach at Gregory Seahurst Swim Club during the summer swim season and is currently attending Seattle Pacific University.

Get a Free Sports Physical Starting Sept. 5th

Can't get a hold of your doctor and you need a sports physical? The Teen Health Center (room 225) offers sports physicals to all SPS students free of charge!

You can also contact the RHS Teen Health Center by emailing Suna.oh@neighborcare.org or text 206-653-9786 to schedule. 

Appointments start on Sept. 5th, 2023. 

RHS Varsity Gx Ultimate Frisbee Currently Ranked #1 in the Nation!

The RHS Varsity Gx Program is currently ranked #1 in the nation! In addition to their current 5-1 season record, the team was proud to bring home the Seattle Invite trophy, where they played undefeated in six intense tournament games, just before Spring Break. The Seattle Invite tournament showcases teams from Washington, Oregon, Utah, and more. Come cheer on your team as they go into SPS and then State Playoffs in early to mid-May! The first play-off game is on Thursday, May 4, time and opponent to be announced!

Spring Pint Night is Monday, May 1st - 7-9pm

Come raise a glass and support Roosevelt Athletics at The DUCHESS - 2827 NE 55th St. on May 1 from 7-9pm! Buy a $45 ticket HERE and get:

  • A commemorative Roosevelt Pint Glass
  • Tickets for 2 pints of Roosevelt Beer (other beer, wine or cocktails available for personal purchase)

When purchasing a ticket, select General Booster Fund in the "sport" menu, AND type Pint Night in "Notes". Enter $45 in "donation amount", come, drink beer, and have fun!

All proceeds from Pint Night will go to the Roosevelt Athletic Booster Club, which funds a portion of the school's on-site Athletic Trainer and helps teams pay for uniforms, equipment, facility fees, and other needs.
