Club Information & Expectations

RGLC is a Club Sport

We’re an independent club that is entirely self-funded. Registration fees make up a significant portion of our budget and cover: Seattle Parks & Rec field fees, coach salaries, Washington State Lacrosse Association (WSLA) team league fees, and equipment (goals, nets, balls, goalie gear, first aid kit, etc.).

Registration Fees

Player fees for the 2024 season are $550.00 per player (same as 2022 & 2023) until Monday, January 1, 2024. After that the fee increases to $600 per player. We start to incur season expenses as early as December, so registration is open now to help cover those costs. In addition, getting an earlier sense of the number of players who will be participating helps the Board and the coaches plan for the season.

US Lacrosse Membership

All players are required to join the US Lacrosse association for $35 to comply with WSLA obligations. A current US Lacrosse Membership Number must be submitted for players to participate for insurance purposes—NO EXCEPTIONS. Please apply or renew online before registering your player at: http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership.aspx

Club Operations and Refund Policy

To participate in tryouts, all players must register and pay the registration fee by Friday, February 23, 2024. All registrants have an opportunity to try out for the Varsity team. Players not selected for Varsity will be rostered on the JV team. RGLC does not provide refunds after tryouts begin on Monday, February 26, 2024. For example, if your player attends tryouts, does not make the team she expected, and chooses not to participate, your registration fee will not be refunded.

Communication

This season, the majority of player and parent communication will be through the text app GroupMe. Please download the app: https://groupme.com/en-US/

Fundraising/Sponsorship

Fundraising and sponsorships are necessary to fully fund the club. We will be engaging in fewer fundraising activities this year, but all players–Varsity and JV–are expected to participate. If your family is interested in becoming an RGLC sponsor or has a sponsorship idea, please contact Elaina Robinson at elainarobinson@yahoo.com.

Financial Support

We’re able to offer limited financial support on a case-by-case basis. To request financial support, please email RGLAXC@gmail.com.
