THE ROOSEVELT ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB (RAB)

We support the sports you love

 
The RAB's mission is to financially support and celebrate all student athletes.
Our goal is to maintain an enduring, reliable community that works in partnership with Roosevelt High School to give every student a chance to compete.
Almost half of all Roosevelt students participate in at least one team or sport.

Who We Are

The RAB is a non-profit organization, founded in 1987. It supports the athletic programs at Roosevelt by providing resources beyond what Seattle Public Schools funds. The club currently serves 30 teams/sports,each of which is represented by parent volunteers. The RAB is run by a board comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, all elected by the parent representatives.

What We Do

The primary responsibility of the RAB is to raise money for the athletic teams at Roosevelt. Our money comes from fundraising events and activities, and direct donations from the athletic community. 

The RAB General Fund helps pay for items that either stay with the school or benefit an entire team or sport. Our largest financial obligation is to help pay for Roosevelt's  on-site Athletic Trainer and their supplies - a cost of about $11,000 per year.

The RAB General Fund has helped teams buy/pay for: 

  • Uniforms 
  • Equipment (balls, nets, stopwatches, tents)
  • Post-season competition (District and State tournaments)
  • Facility and field rental fees
  • Training for coaches
  • Tournament fees
  • Athletic Software
